Visa® Check Card

A Visa Check card works like a check, only better. When you make purchases, the amount is deducted directly from your checking account. Visa Check cards can be used at any point-of-sale location or ATM that accepts Visa branded cards.

Security is very important to us. Your new Visa Check card will contain chip technology which will help to protect your information when your card is used at a chip enabled terminal. Your Visa Check card comes with Fraud Monitoring which monitors where and when your card is used to help detect and prevent unauthorized withdrawals. With Visa's Zero Liability Policy* your liability for unauthorized transactions is $0.

*Visa's Zero Liability Policy covers U.S.-issued cards and does not apply to certain commercial card transactions, PIN transactions, or any transactions not processed by Visa. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized withdrawals. We may request written confirmation of your dispute. See the Business Check Card Agreement and Disclosure for more information.

  • Lost or Stolen Card: To report a lost or stolen debit card during normal business hours, please contact the nearest NSSB branch . To report a lost or stolen debit card after normal business hours, please call 866-546-8273.

Visa Check Card Information
Q: When will I receive my new card?

A: Debit cards arrive within 7-10 business days.

Q: Where can I use my new card?

A: You can use your debit card anywhere that Visa® is accepted. 

Q: Will I be required to use my PIN number?

A: PIN transactions depend on the capabilities and set up of the terminal, both methods (signature or PIN) will still be used.

Q: What if I don’t know my PIN?

A: To request a new PIN, please call 888-891-2435. 

Q: What should I do with my old Visa® Check Card?

A: Once you activate your new chip card, please cut up and destroy your existing card for security reasons.
